MAD MAX CANON WARNINGS

FYI: the mad max series is set in a bleak post-apocalyptic landscape ruled by culty despots, bdsm biker gangs, and a hodge podge of others who understand the power of brutality.
THEMES IN THE CANON INCLUDE: murder, torture, mutilation, starvation, animal death, cannibalism, slavery, child marriage, child soldiers, forced breeding, sexual assault, death cults, physical/medical effects of living in an irradiated wasteland (i.e. cancer, genetic abnormalities, radiation), and everything else that comes with total environmental and societal collapse.
the broader themes of survivalism, societal collapse, and murder of family members are far more likely to come up in tags with max as they're central to the character and his history; the other themes less so, but are still part of the world he comes from.
i try to give content warnings in subject lines for these and other weird niche themes. but in general, i will not bring up sexual assault or related themes in tags without some kind of discussion.
in addition, max demonstrates a kind of psychosis where he is plagued by violent or traumatic memories, as well as visions of the dead or unsettling imagery. this is something i play with to reflect his state of mind and repressed emotions.
